Saeeds, located at 36 Seymour Rd in Gloucester, is a gem in the Indian restaurant scene. Customers rave about the exceptional depth of flavor in their dishes, often noting the rich and wholesome taste that sets it apart from others in the area. From the crispy, perfectly seasoned poppadoms to their signature vindaloo curry, every bite reflects the passion and dedication of the staff. Jamie Frost highlights the importance of tradition with their fresh salads and a thoughtful presentation that truly enhances the dining experience.
The atmosphere at Saeeds is equally commendable, with attentive service that strikes the perfect balance between being helpful and unobtrusive. This attention to detail resonates with diners, as noted by Md Abu Sadek Numan and Matty Sharpe, who both praised the friendly staff and delicious fare.
Moreover, Saeeds offers outstanding value, with their pricing reminiscent of a decade ago, making it a budget-friendly option without compromising on quality. Diners appreciate the environmentally friendly aluminum packaging, which echoes the restaurant’s commitment to sustainability. Overall, Saeeds is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Indian cuisine with a touch of love and tradition.

Hands down, the best Indian restaurant in Gloucester—seriously tasty and wholesome. Other places I've tried over the years always seem to lack a 'richness', for want of a better phrase... or, always let themselves down on something basic—not here, genuinely perfect every time I've ordered—you can taste the passion and dedication in every bite. Poppadoms; always crisp and fresh, perfectly seasoned. Salad; the little bag, that some takeaways have done away with—love, love, love it... a much appreciated, traditional touch. Along with the small tub of chopped onion, both are great accompanied by poppadom and mint sauce/raita, to make a fresh ‘pre-appetiser’ while plating up/before bhajis. Naan; a plain naan for me—always fresh and well-cooked, in it’s cute naan-bag. Curries; generally a vindaloo—so perfect. Rich and full of flavour; plenty of very tender chicken pieces, along with some potato (aware of debate as to whether potato belongs in a vindaloo; I think it does—some places 'skimp' on chicken when including potato, not here however!). Delivery and packaging; has always arrived on time or slightly early when ordering for delivery, and always bang-on when collecting. Packaging—an odd thing to review, but really appreciate the aluminium containers... so many places have switched to plastic—the aluminium ones are much easier to wash and reuse (great for use in an air fryer!)/recycle. Have eaten in the restaurant also—service is top notch; perfectly attentive, but without distracting you from your meal/conversation, a really comfortable atmosphere. They’re not on Just Eat/Deliveroo/Uber Eats... likely with reason; they still (in 2025) offer supreme value for money—their online ordering platform (ChefOnline) is much more user-friendly than any of the mainstream solutions I’ve used previously. Always recommending this place; nothing better than decent, hot, spicy curry after a long week—did you know; spicy food releases endorphins, which improves mood?!

Excellent experience all round. The staff were very informative and recommended the sizzling platter which was both visually and audibly amazing and so tasty! We had the Bhajis too which were fresh and hot. We chose milder curry with the passanda and korma coming out fresh and hot! The keema and cheese naan was lovely. Overall the prices are set back about 10 years ago meaning value for money is high. We enjoyed every single mouthful. Thank you Saeed and the team!

I do eat from here regularly, so might be bias but we had a fantastic evening here this weekend! Bit of a large party, and we all said the same thing... food staff atmosphere price bit of a cliche, but the staff really did look after us. As it's bring your own drink they were even nice enough to collect empties as we got through them... the takeaways I have from here are always good, but eating in, was even better! Thanks to all the staff for our great evening
